Windows Installation Instructions

Step 1: Download the Certificate

Click the button below to download the SonicWALL DPI-SSL certificate file.

Locate the Downloaded Certificate

After downloading, navigate to your Downloads folder and locate the SonicWallCertNew.cer file.

Open the Certificate

Double-click the SonicWallCertNew.cer file to open the Certificate dialog box.

Install Certificate

In the Certificate window:

  • Click the "Install Certificate..." button
  • Select "Current User" or "Local Machine" (Local Machine requires admin rights)
  • Click "Next"

Choose Certificate Store

In the Certificate Import Wizard:

  • Select "Place all certificates in the following store"
  • Click "Browse..."
  • Select "Trusted Root Certification Authorities"
  • Click "OK"
  • Click "Next"
Important: It is critical that you install the certificate to the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store. Installing to any other location will not work properly.

Complete the Installation

Click "Finish" to complete the certificate installation. You may see a security warning - click "Yes" to confirm the installation.

Restart Your Browser

Close and restart your web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.) for the changes to take effect.

✓ Installation Complete!

You should now be able to access DPI-SSL protected sites without certificate warnings.
