iPhone/iPad Installation Instructions

Step 1: Download the Certificate

Tap the button below to download the SonicWALL DPI-SSL certificate profile.

Allow the Download

When prompted, select "Allow" to download the configuration profile.

Confirm Download

After the download completes, you will receive a confirmation message. Tap "Close".

💡 Tip: The certificate profile has been downloaded but not yet installed. You need to install it from Settings.

Open Settings and Install Profile

Open the Settings app on your device. You should see a new option near the top that says "Profile Downloaded".

  • Tap on "Profile Downloaded"
  • Review the profile details
  • Tap "Install" in the top right corner
  • Enter your device passcode if prompted
  • Tap "Install" again to confirm
  • Tap "Install" once more on the warning screen

Complete Profile Installation

Once the installation is complete, tap "Done".

Important: Installing the profile is not enough! You must also enable full trust for the certificate in the next step.

Enable Certificate Trust

Navigate to the Certificate Trust Settings:

Settings → General → About → Certificate Trust Settings

Under the section "Enable Full Trust For Root Certificates", toggle ON the switch next to "SonicWALL Firewall DPI-SSL".

Confirm Trust Settings

A warning dialog will appear. Tap "Continue" to confirm that you want to trust the certificate.

Verify that the toggle switch is now green/enabled.

✓ Installation Complete!

You should now be able to access DPI-SSL protected sites without certificate warnings on your iPhone or iPad.
